Minister Gajdoš answers questions from students of Comenius Children’s University during Question Time in Parliament

The purchase of infantry fighting vehicles and the share of their manufacture by Slovak companies, Service pay in Slovakia and in other countries of the world, free lunch at schools, and Slovak students living abroad – these all were among the questions addressed to members of the Cabinet by students from Comenius Children’s University during Question Time in Parliament today (27 August 2019).

Defence Minister Peter Gajdoš said: “I am pleased that children are interested in what’s going on in our country and I take my hat off to them for showing such a depth of interest.” He continued: “Of course, I am equally pleased that the school goers are interested in visiting our military units and learning more about the defence of our homeland.”

Over the past 9 years, Comenius Children’s University has dedicated 1 workshop to the Slovak Armed Forces and organised a visit to a military unit with live demonstrations as part of its programme. Traditionally, the Army Workshop is among the most popular ones.
