Armed Components and Rescue Services Day with Children

The 13th edition of ‛Armed Components and Rescue Services Day with Children’, held under the aegis of Defence Minister Peter Gajdoš, will be hosted by the Museum of Military History in Piešťany from 09.30 to 17.00 on 7 September 2019.
 
According to Director of the Institute of Military History Bratislava Col Miloslav Čaplovič, visitors will enjoy a rich programme filled with demonstrations and activities. Members of the armed and rescue services will showcase cutting-edge and historic equipment to young generations in a captivating way, while at the same time demonstrating their readiness to defend our homeland and protect the health and property of our citizens.
 
The event will kick off with a flypast of MiG-29 fighter jets and a parachute drop by paratroopers. As part of the event, visitors will see an exciting line-up of military hardware and watch demonstrations by members of the Slovak Armed Forces, customs officers, firefighters, and prison and justice guards. Children will participate in different contests and will be treated to a tour of aircraft, tanks and armoured vehicles.
