KONŠTRUKTA-Defence continues to invest in new technologies

Maintenance & Repair Services (MRS) Moldava nad Bodvou, operating under MOD-run KONŠTRUKTA-Defence, has launched a new paint & lacquer spraying and drying booth to deliver surface coating of combat vehicles and equipment.

On paint operations now available in Defence, Jaroslav Naď said: “As I announced earlier in June, KONŠTRUKTA-Defenceʼs workshop in Moldava nad Bodvou has a new paint spray booth for the basic and final coating of combat vehicles and equipment. This is extremely good news, because KONŠTRUKTA-Defence has so far had to rely on contractors.”

Director General of KONŠTRUKTA-Defence Alexander Gurský said: “The 17-metre-long paint box will enable us to paint all types of combat equipment, including the Zuzana 2 SpGH with a length of 14 metres. The paint box will be used for the ongoing projects such as the 8x8 AMV XP and the Zuzana 2 SpGH, as well as for repainting the military hardware in service with the Slovak Armed Forces.”

New technologies will soon be introduced by KONŠTRUKTA-Defence's Specialist Testing Workshop in Dubnica nad Váhom. A new vibration testing system will be the latest addition to the Workshop's accredited testing lab services in just a few weeks. “Looking to the future, weʼll continue to replace outdated and introduce new testing technologies,” Mr Gurský concluded.
