90 Children and Families Centres enjoy fresh cut real live Christmas trees and gifts from Military Forests and Estates

Fresh cut real live Christmas trees from Military Forests and Estates have brought joy to 90 Children and Families Centres across Slovakia. The MOD-run company has also distributed premium wild game meat packs and gift vouchers to the children and families' homes this year too.
 

Director General of Military Forests and Estates Ján Jurica said: “Military Forests and Estates staff distributed 131 trees to the centres in time so that children could enjoy them since as early as St Nicolas Day and over the festive season. In total, we prepared 90 meat packs and 150 food vouchers, each worth €100. We hope these small things will make their Christmas special.”

Thanking those who have carried on this year's heartwarming tradition of Christmas charity, Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “Solidarity and enthusiasm for helping others is of immense importance. Something which may be a matter of course to some may be a huge gift to others – the smiles and joy of the children to whom we have presented the gifts of our woodlands show just that!”
