State Secretary Marian Majer gives his backing to SVK defence firms at IDET defence industry exhibition in Brno

State Secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Defence Marian Majer today visited the International Defence & Security Technologies Fair (IDET) 2023 in Brno, where several SVK defence firms are presenting their portfolios of products and services. He decided to come and give his backing to them at this important defence & security trade show in Central Europe.

Speaking from IDET 2023, Marian Majer said: “The products of the SVK defence industry are of a good quality and the competitiveness of our defence firms on the international market is constantly on the increase, also thanks to the MOD’s input and support. In some areas, they can even compete with the largest companies in the world, which is a perfect business card for all of us.”

Slovakia has a number of exhibitors from industry at IDET 2023, with stands displayed by the SVK Ministry of Defence and the SVK Security & Defence Industry Association (ZBOP). In addition to viewing the top-of-the-line combat equipment and gear on display and promoting the SVK defence firms, Marian Majer took the opportunity to meet separately with Czech Deputy Defence Minister Daniel Blažkovec and Italian Deputy Defence Minister Matteo Perego di Cremnago, to discuss the bilateral defence agenda.
