Slovak Armed Forces Charity Gala Evening raises 24,365 euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine

In the presence of Defence Minister Martin Sklenár and Chief of Defence Gen Daniel Zmeko at MOD Main Building today, Ukrainian Ambassador to Slovakia Myroslav Kastran received a symbolic cheque worth 24,365 euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The money was raised at a Slovak Armed Forces Charity Gala Evening.
All proceeds from the fundraiser, organised by the Military Support Foundation, included money raised in an auction of artworks and military memorabilia and voluntary donations by military personnel and members of the public.
Speaking about this fundraising effort, Ambassador Kastran said: “The money raised will go towards buying much-needed humanitarian material.” He extended his thanks to the people of Slovakia for their help so far, including for humanitarian aid and military support to the Ukrainian armed forces in the form of equipment, materiel and training.
