Defence Minister Martin Sklenár met the outgoing Austrian Ambassador to Slovakia, Her Excellency Margit Bruck-Friedrich, at the Slovak Defence Ministry in Bratislava today as her four-year stint in the Diplomatic Service appointment in Bratislava comes to an end.
Thanking the Austrian Ambassador for her cooperation on matters of mutual interest, Defence Minister Martin Sklenár said: “First and foremost, Iʼd like to thank you for our good cooperation in the field of Defence and multi-lateral formats. In particular, I want to highlight Austriaʼs assistance during the challenging pandemic period and the nationwide swab testing for COVID-19 in Slovakia, when our capacity was strengthened by Austrian Army medical professionals.”
In his conversation with Ambassador Bruck-Friedrich, Defence Minister Sklenár also commended other avenues of SVK-AUT defence cooperation through official level engagements, including on chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) defence, air forces, Special Operations Forces (SOFs), military education, military transportation, and international crisis management.
