Ministry of Defence welcomes newly appointed generals

Based on the SVK Government-approved proposal for general officer promotions, President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini promoted Colonels Adolf Daubner, Ladislav Kisel, Jozef Kasl and Dušan Košút to the rank of Brigadier General, and Major General Miroslav Lorinc to the rank of Lieutenant General.

Following the promotion ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava on Friday 26 September 2025, the newly appointed generals were received by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Robert Kaliňák at the MOD Main Building.

The promotion to a general officer rank is a recognition of a soldier's distinguished service to the country as much as it is a commitment to the future – to lead with courage, honesty and determination.
